When I saw the devastation caused by the tsunami and the despair of the people, I knew immediately that I wanted to give to the people of Japan some part of the affection and strength that my audiences there had given me over the years. • Arabella Steinbacher
The film follows Arabella Steinbacher on a tour of Japan in December 2011. A moving journey far from Japan's great concert halls to parts of the country that were nearly totally destroyed by the tsunami. There, in Kamaishi, Kirikiri and Otsuchi, Arabella performs in gymnasiums and Visits shelters, with touching encounters and impressive, personal eye-witness accounts.
