1945's Bells Of Rosarita was the first in a series using the gimmick of the actors playing themselves in "real-life" situations. Here, Roy Rogers and Bob Nolan of the Sons Of The Pioneers are making a movie on location at the circus left to Dale Evans (Mrs. Rogers) by her father. Evans is about to be cheated out of her inheritance by an unscrupulous gang until the star's fellow cowboys help him to protect her with their horses in some fast riding and shooting scenes. Gabby Hayes plays his part, too, and the songs also feature the Robert Mitchell Boys's Choir this time.
