"John Mayall - 70th Birthday Concert"
Das "King's Dock" in Liverpool war am 19. Juli 2003 Schauplatz der lang ersehnten und immer wieder erhofften Wiedervereinigung von Eric Clapton und John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers und an John Mayalls 70. Geburtstag gefeiert und eine Benefizveranstaltung für Unicef durchgeführt. Eingeladen waren unter anderem der frühere Bluesbreaker- und Rolling Stones-Gitarrist Mick Taylor, der in sechs der 19 Stücke zu hören ist (Eric Clapton spielt auf acht der 19 Nummern), sowie Posaunenveteran Chris Barber. Für Liebhaber des Blues gibt es wohl kein spektakuläreres Ereignis.
