Flamenco has become more diverse in recent years. While respecting the flamenco tradition and its traditional themes - love and passion, life and death - Luis de la Carrasca takes inspiration from social subjects of today and is also open to other types of world music. His latest show presents songs and sung poetry, flamenco music and dancing, but also elements from other cultures, with the aim of breaking down frontiers and bringing all men and women together in a spirit of solidarity and sharing.
Born in Andalusia, Luis de la Carrasca has lived in Avignon for the past seventeen years. For his new show he is joined by talented aritsts of various origins. Artists from the world of flamenco - of Spanish, Andalusian or Gypsy origin - mix with other musicians from different horizons. The result is the company Flamenco Vivo.
