Larry Coryell can still be argued as one of the greatest guitarists of all time. A complete original, he was asked to play on sessions by countless musicians, mostly due to his progressive style of play, which primarily fused the ideas of rock and jazz into one intense and funky entity. This DVD is a retrospective show that primarily looks back on those years of discovery through a live show that is as every bit electrifying as when these songs were first recorded. Bernard "Pretty" Purdie (a legend in his own right), James Valentine of Maroon 5 and David Hidalgo of Los Lobos drop by to show off their talents in homage to Coryell. Through interviews and rehearsal footage we can see how music is created, and why Larry Coryell has always been the best kept secret.
