Snowy White - Introspective - DVD

It is hard to be sure what Snowy ist best known for in his carreer as an instinctively natural electric guitarist and songwriter. For some it be his performing live with Al Stewart in Philadelphia ot his time touring with Pink Floyd in the 70's, or maybe you are a fan of hits like "Renegade" from his Thin Lizzy days.
Some people know Snowy for his inspirational 80's hit song "Bird of Paradise" used for the KLM adverts for eternity and produced by the fabulous Kuma Harada bass player, friend and producer of Snowy and the White Flames band. Or could it simply be his reputation as a respected and cool head amidst the drug crazed attention seeking hedonism of the rock world which be played with but never belonged to as you'll find out in his frank interview.
There is often a case for finding most merit in those articles who seem to receive the least notice and Snowy has always gone out of his way to receive the least notice. Perhaps this is why Roger Waters will not go on a tour without him or why he spent an afternoon jamming with Carlos Santana not so long ago at the Albert Hall.
Snowy also has an inevitable blues following for his own Blues Agency which he toured in the mid of late 80's earning a name for himself as the creator of English Blues. Snowy's blues is like tracle rather than the rasping type however, more JJ Cale than Solomon Burke. Whatever you think of Snowy songs like "Highway to the Sun" featuring Dave Gilmour and Chris Rea which he recorded later with his band, make it hard to compare him to any musician at all.
