Cecil and Linda Womack both grew up in families steeped in musical heritage. As a young girl Linda met Cecil when the Womack family, known as the "Valentinos" were singing professionally with her father - the legendary Sam Cooke.
Through the 70's Cecil and Linda developed and impressive musical reputation as songwriters, and as musicians, playing with such great artists as The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, The O'Jays, and Stephanie Mills. Their songwriting talent resulted in a succession of international hit records for The Four Tops, Rod Stewart, Chaka Khan, Wilson Pickett, George Benson, Teddy Pendergrass, Patti LaBelle and Cecils elder brother Bobby Womack.
Having laid the foundations as successful songwriters Womack and Womack made their own debut album, the stunning 'Love Wars'. Their latest album 'Conscience', has spawned 4 hit singles and has gone gold in 10n countries and platinum in 3. This phenomenal success resulted in a sell-out 'Celebrate The World' tour.
