Italian football manager and former player Roberto Mancini - currently the head coach of internazionale in italy's serie A - has had a long and eventful soccer career.
Born in ancona in november 1964, Mancini played for bologna between 1981 and 1982, subsequently transferring to sampdoria, lazio and leicester city. While with sampdoria he helped lead the club to win four coppa italias, in 1985, 1988, 1989and 1994 respectively, and the cup winners' cup in 1990. After retiring from the field, Roberto Mancini coached fiorentina and lazio, winning the coppa italia for both clubs. Now currently coaching inter, Mancini has already won the 2005 coppa italia and 2005 supercoppa italiana, and has become the most succesful inter coach of the last decade.
